Undergraduate Programs
BS in Biology
The Biology program is designed to promote academic excellence through close interactions between faculty and students in the classroom, the research laboratory, and the field.
BS in Biology with Teacher Certification in Biological Science (Preschool-Grade 12)
Students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in Biology along with Preschool-Grade 12 in Biological Science teacher certification must apply to and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program.
BS in Biology (Combined BS/MAT with Teacher Certification in Biological Science (Preschool-Grade 12) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities)
The Bachelor’s/MAT Dual-Certification is an accelerated program that gives students the opportunity to simultaneously receive a Bachelor’s and Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree with teacher certification in both general and special education.
BS in Biology, Environmental Science/Biology Concentration
A minimum of 120 semester hours of coursework is required for the baccalaureate degree with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA, and a minimum 2.0 major GPA.
BS in Molecular Biology
Students who major in Molecular Biology can also enter the burgeoning biotechnology industry, well prepared to compete in the modern scientific marketplace, as most institutions carry on basic or applied research in biomedical areas today using techniques of molecular biology.
Minor in Biology
